All of my research falls under the umbrella of content creators. Whether I am analyzing creators with millions of followers or creators with ten followers, I believe everyone has a valuable point of view on social platforms.

Social media content is widely shaped by the creator’s identity—their gender identity, racial identity, and sexual identity. I view the content posted to creators’ platforms through the lens of their identities.

Content creators are able to persuade their viewers to purchase items, watch a new TV show, or, in some cases, alter their values and beliefs. I am always seeking to understand why and how audiences are persuaded by their favorite creators.

Religion and culture can have a heavy hand in persuasion. I am interested in how religious content creators use their religious beliefs to impose new beliefs onto their audiences.
